Metro Parks Summer Series: Scioto Grove 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸

Another park.

Another stamp.

Another adventure we almost got rained out of.

We headed to Scioto Grove Metro Park.

With one mission.

Find frogs. 🐸

We started at Hickory Pond.

Searching.

Scanning.

Fully committed to frog hunting.

Results… mixed. Effort? Outstanding.

Then we made our way along the Scioto River.

And saw something wild.

The water lines from last week’s heavy rain.

Marked high up on the trees.

Like… really high.

Nature’s reminder that it’s in charge.

We kept walking.

Taking it all in.

Equal parts beautiful and humbling.

Then… playground break.

Obviously.

Because some traditions are non‑negotiable.

Next stop… the fire tower.

Up we went.

For an eye‑in‑the‑sky view.

Totally worth the climb.

And right about then…

The sky had thoughts.

Dark clouds rolled in.

Rain was coming.

Fast.

We made our exit just in time.

(Or at least… mostly in time.)
